The Drone Federation of India (DFI) mentioned that as a way to quick observe agri-drone adoption the Ministry of Agriculture has granted interim approval to 477 pesticides for drone utilization.

DFI in a press release mentioned, “The Union agriculture ministry & the Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIB&RC) have given this interim approval”.

The federation additional mentioned that the pesticide firms already registered with the CIB&RC who need to use registered chemical pesticides with drones can inform the board’s secretariat of pesticide dosage, crop particulars, information technology motion plan together with different required info.

The assertion added “In case pesticide firms would like to continue using drones for spraying pesticides after 2 years then they will have to generate essential data during the interim period & get it validated from the CIB&RC”.

Earlier this yr, PM Narendra Modi had underlined the necessity for bigger utilization of drones within the agriculture sector. He mentioned, “Artificial intelligence goes to fully change the commerce associated to agriculture & farming within the twenty first century. The better use of Kisan drones in farming is a part of this modification”.
